Equipment upgrades, damaged from your incident (i.e. upgraded vests) 5. Monetary Grants, for loss of income-depending on our resources (grants-loans). Financial assistance will only be granted to officers who have suffered a traumatic injury within one (1) year of submission of an application. 6. Speaking engagements
We are all volunteers and none of us are compensated for our time. We were incorporated in 1996 as a 501c(3) not-for-profit charitable organization. We have distributed tens of thousands of dollars in grants to police officers in need.
We have four levels of Membership: 1. Executive Members are Police Officers who have been seriously and traumatically injured in the line of duty. Only these members can serve of the Board. 2. Regular Members are Police Officers who have arrest powers in the State of Illinois who share in the ideas and philosophy of this organization. 3. Honorary Members are individuals who have demonstrated a knowledge of and sympathy for the ideals and aspirations of this organization. 4. Associate Members are individuals, or civic, business, labor, or government organizations that support, financially or otherwise, the purpose and mission of this organization.
We accept and encourage monetary contributions or other donations to further our cause.Your contributions are tax deductible.
We are unique in that our organization does NOT want new “Executive” members, for the fact that they were injured simply doing their jobs, but we will take care of them with open arms…with your help.
